This past weekend we decided to stay put in our beautiful homes on Paris and explore the night life with old friends. Some friend who are studying Provence and Rome ventured their way to the City of Lights. On the first day, as tourists playing tour guides, we explored the Tour Eiffel, le Louvre, Champs Elysee and after three hours of walking, we rewarded ourselves with good old fashion McDonald's Flurries... Not a single regret was felt after trying the McDonald's Speculous McFlurries. A delicious delight you couldn't find in the United States... I think.
Day two, we continued on as tour guides visiting the Notre Dame, Quartier Latin, and a chilly boat tour down le Seine. After becoming icicles, we treated our selves with some delicious Lebanese foods which all was consumed in less than 10 minutes. Let's not mention the toasty hot chocolate we had a cafe near the Jardin du Luxembourg. We walked down the Seine before we decided to return to our homes and hostels to rest up before a late night of beer and other cocktails.
No better way to end the night with a impromptu visit to the Tour Eiffel and watch it sparkle with some old and, better yet, new friends. No better way to top off a weekend in Paris.
